Power Electronics Research Group at NTUST

Peter Huang is currently an Assistant Professor in the Electronic and Computer Engineering Department at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST or also referred to as Taiwan Tech) in Taipei, Taiwan, and is affiliated with the Power Electronics Group. He performs research in the area of power electronics. His research interests include DC-DC converters, renewable energy applications, switched-capacitor converters and inverters, battery management systems, power management integrated circuits, analog circuits, and energy harvesting. He received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Tamkang University in Taipei, Taiwan, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, USA, respectively. He received the Student Travel Awards from the IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC) and the IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE) in 2014 and 2016, respectively. From 2012 to 2013, he was an Electrical Engineering Intern at Philips Lighting in Burlington, MA, and from 2007 to 2009, he was a Hardware Engineer at Super Micro Computer in San Jose, CA. When he was Ph.D. student, he worked as a volunteer in Young Scholar's Program (YSP) at Northeastern University to guide high school students to design and build solar chargers for cell phones and laptops in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

Prof. Huang was awarded a Young Investigator Fellowship by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of Taiwan during 2018-2021(科技部補助延攬特殊優秀人才, 2018-2021).
